What waste is not acceptable waste?

  • oils of any kind
  • chemicals
  • batteries / car batteries
  • household electrical (microwave, tv’s, computers, cookers etc)

 

Can i put different waste types in a skip?

You can mix waste types, however, take care not to add any unacceptable waste.

How much is a skip?

We have various sized skips, so it depends on how much waste you need to get rid off.

How many days can i keep the skip for?

The maximum you can keep a skip for is 28 days after which it is classed as another hire.

Do I need a permit?

Do you have a driveway, back garden or private land, if not then yes you will need a permit if the skip is placed on council property Contact our team to find out how much the council’s in your area charge as prices vary from council to council.

The skip is permitted to stay on the road for upto 7 days, after that it needs to be renewed.

We will obtain the permit on your behalf, should you require a permit.

How many days notice can i give for a skip delivery?

Generally we can deliver skips on the dates you need the skip, however, there are some exceptions such as if you require a permit which is reliant on if we can obtain the permit that same day.

We always advise to book your skip as soon as possible, to avoid disappointment if not it would have to be the following day.

Can you deliver the skip even when I’m not at home?

Yes, we can however, if there are instructions on where you need it placed, do let our team know.

Will you collect the skip as soon as I’m finished with it?

Collections are done as quickly as possible however, we require a 2 to 3 days window for all collections.

My front or back garden has a wall, can i still have a skip placed there?

So far as this information is relayed to our team on the date of booking, we should be able to accommodate this as we have extra reach loading lorries.

If i book and pay for my skip, can i cancel?

You can cancel your booking however there is a cancellation fee and we reserve the right to charge any waiting fees after 15minutes and any costs incurred.

How much of my waste is being recycled?

Not acceptable waste or hazardous waste cannot be recycled that’s why we do not accept them, however, the majority of waste can be recycled and so we aim to recycle at least 85% of your waste that gets to us,
